Derek succeeds Michael...

The maple leaf jersey changes shoulders but stays within the same team. Gee just clinched the title of Canadian road race champion, succeeding his teammate Mike Woods.

An IPT Double

The 199-kilometer race was marked by a decisive breakaway formed by Gee, Hugo Houle, and Luke Valenti, all from the IPT team. Taking advantage of their numerical superiority, Gee and Houle launched several attacks. Gee executed the decisive attack before the fifth and final lap, quickly creating a gap of 1 minute 30 until the finish in St-Georges. Behind, Houle takes the second place.

The winner described the race as "very difficult, under challenging weather conditions", but was pleased with the team effort.

Promising for the Tour

Derek Gee is having an exceptional 2025 season. He won a stage and the overall classification of O Gran Camiño, finished third in the Tour of the Alps, and achieved his best result in a Grand Tour with a 4th place at the Giro d’Italia.
