INSIDEVIP JUNE 24

Dear members of the EKOÏ VIP family,

It's in a climate of confidence that we've designed this new newsletter. YOUR brand tells you all about the highlights of June.

INDEED VIDEO: Ekoï's founder talks about the new logistics warehouse.

In early 2024, our logistics teams were leaving the Fréjus warehouse to move into a more spacious building based in Puget-sur-Argens. This major investment is designed to increase the brand's shipping efficiency worldwide. Three months after its commissioning, Jean-Christophe Rattel talks frankly about this new "tool". Discover the video in total exclusivity.

EKOÏ MEETS UP WITH THE PRO's: shooting with Valentin Madouas in Ekoï shoes!

Present on a high-mountain training camp at Isola 2000 just a few days before the start of the Tour de France, the Groupama FDJ rider (still French champion for a few days) welcomed our film crew. The perfect opportunity to gather his thoughts on the C12 pro team shoes he has chosen to wear in the race. Here's a selection of the best shots, plus a few exclusive backstage views.

EKOÏ NEVER LOSES THE "PHIL'!"

Precious consultant and friend of Ekoï, Philippe Gilbert was on our premises to work on perfecting the pedal-shoe system, the PW8. With an ever attentive ear, our footwear engineer, Raphaël, gathered feedback from the great champion. He rides and tests this new concept for us, regularly arousing the curiosity of other riders, including a certain Tadej Pogacar.

It was at "Phil'"'s request that the new wedges (still a little patience before you discover them) are now perfectly adjustable laterally.

WHEN THE "TEACHER" ARRIVES AT (THE)EKOÏ...

Motorsport aficionados will have the reference. Nicknamed for his passion for tuning his single-seater, four-time French Formula 1 world champion ALAIN PROST was visiting Ekoï headquarters. Known as an avid cyclist and highly sensitive to safety, he listened attentively to the helmet descriptions. He signed the showroom's wall of celebrities.

Promise, as soon as we have a photo of this living legend wearing an Ekoï model, we'll reveal it to you!

WORKING MEETING WITH THE ISRAEL-PREMIER TECH STAFF

Our sponsorship manager, Stéphane Rossetto, and our textile product manager, Céline Milan, exchanged views with a delegation from Israel-Premier Tech.

Coach Ciaran O'Grady, general manager Kjell Carlstrom and team coordinator Brian Turner
were on hand to discuss improvements and new fabrics. A studious visit, then, which concretely demonstrates the close collaboration between professional teams and Ekoï.

EKOÏ: FORZA AND FORCAT!

Two challenges, two distant disciplines, two distinct cycling profiles. And one thing in common: an appetite for the unusual and an irrepressible desire to surpass oneself!

Ekoï encourages and supports its staff in their sporting challenges. In June, 3 "Ekoïens" challenged:

The Nice IRONMAN for "Steph" Rossetto, pro rider from 2010 to 2022 and sponsorship manager and "Raph" Dalle, our footwear engineer.

And the BIKING MAN Alpes Maritimes with "Ludo" Miel, editor, adventurer and long-distance adventurer.

In a few words...

Stéphane put in a fine swim before flying over the bike course with an event record under his belt (180 kms down in 4h29'55). His 13-minute lead going into the run wasn't enough to keep him in the lead. He slipped back to a fine 10th place overall! A "mixed" result according to the interested party. (credit activ images)

For his first participation, our rookie "Raph" put in a fine performance and was only forced to retire halfway through the marathon. Hats off to him!

A week later, "Ludo" set off from the resort of Valberg to tackle the toughest Biking Man of the season, covering 1,000 kilometers and 23,000 D+, between France and Italy. It took him 95 hours and 48 minutes to complete this cycling epic, which was marked by cold weather and heavy precipitation. These "brutal" conditions knocked out almost 40% of the participants. More than just an honorable 31st place (out of 128), he returns with a well-deserved title of road forçat.
