On the first stage of the Tour of the Czech Republic, the Israeli sprinter Itamar Einhorn won thanks to a lot of work, in particular from his teammate Rick Zabel.
On a 165 kilometer course including two significant climbs at the start of the day, the Israel-Premier Tech team kept the morning breakaway at a respectable distance to come back to the 3 fugitives in the last kilometers. Itamar has also the leader's yellow jersey before the second stage ends in altitude.
