A FIREWORKS OF VICTORIES !

The 2021 edition of the legendary Giro d'Italia was marked by a veritable fireworks display of victories for the champions equipped by Ekoi. No less than 6 ‘bouquets’ to the credit of our helmets and glasses with undeniable style qualities, comfort, reliability and performance. These are all advantages for Caleb Ewan, Victor Lafay, Mauro Schmid, Giacomo Nizzolo and Victor Campanaerts. And so many opportunities to shine for Ekoi and its partner teams. Lotto Soudal, Cofidis, Qhubeka Assos.

1 - It all started with the 5th stage which linked Modena to Cattolica. From the heart of the city dear to Enzo Ferrari and Ferruccio Lamborghini, to the sublime Adriatic beaches. A high-level sprint won by a luminous Caleb Ewan. Caleb (Lotto Soudal) wore the Ekoi AR 14 helmet and the Ekoi Premium 70 sunglasses.

2 - Another great sprint from Caleb Ewan 2 days later on the 7th stage between Notaresco and Termoli, in the heart of the Molise region which marks the entrance to the south of the peninsula. As usual, Caleb wore the Ekoi AR 14 helmet and Premium 70sunglasses. Helmet and sunglasses available to everyone with almost endless possibilities for customization.

3 - Affirmation of a young talent during the 8th stage Foggia-Guardia Sanframondi. Known for his talents as a climber, Victor Lafay (Cofidis) struggled to achieve his feat against some of the best punchers in the world. At only 25, he won his first major professional victory on a demanding course laid out in the heart of the sublime Campania region. Victor wore the Ekoi Gara helmet and the Ekoi Premium 70 sunglasses. At the end of a 170-kilometer breakaway river, Cédric Vasseur's protected managed to let go of his last 2 opponents on the steep final slopes.

4 - Mauro Schmid of team Qhubeka Assos won the 11th stage of the Giro, Perugia-Montalcino. Mauro chose to wear the Ekoi AR 14 helmet which he appreciates for its aero style and comfort. It was also the first major professional victory for the young champion, who declared he appreciated the sections of the bianche strade during an absolutely spectacular stage.

5 - European Champion and Italian Champion in the same year, Giacomo Nizzolo claimed victory in the 13th stage Ravenna-Verona. Giacomo (Khubeka Assos team) wore the Ekoi AR 14 helmet, specially designed in a wind tunnel by Ekoi technicians. Very aero but also versatile, this helmet is a true work of art with an ‘avant-gardist’ design.

6 - The hour-long record holder Victor Campenaerts (team Qhubeka Assos) signed a beautiful and significant victory on the 15th stage Grado-Gorizia. The overpowered Victor wore the Ekoi AR 14 helmet. The first attacker of the day, he won after a two-man sprint against Oscar Riesebeek. He had previously tried several times to go alone.

These six formidable Ekoi victories in one of the most beautiful events in world cycling are naturally dedicated to the ten thousands cyclists who have chosen to equip themselves with Ekoi.
