Shoes PW8 C12 Pro Woven Full Carbon Leather
The C12 PW8 Shoe
The C12 Pro Full Carbon PW8 is the first shoe on the market equipped with a sole specifically designed for the PW8 concept.
It incorporates the major strengths of the 3-point version, combining the highest level of performance and comfort in our range.
[Sold without pedals - Only compatible with the PW8 concept]
The PW8 Concept: Revolutionary
For 40 years since the advent of clipless pedals, cycling had not seen a real innovation. Patented, the PW8 pedal/shoe concept was developed over more than 4 years with one goal: to offer a new concept, more efficient, lighter, more aerodynamic, easier to use, and more aesthetic.
These performance gains are achieved thanks to the minimized spindle/sole proximity at 8 mm coupled with an unmatched contact surface of 1500 mm².
4 Angular Freedoms: 0°, 1.5°, 3°, 6°
This performance improvement comes with a customizable comfort, thanks to a choice of four angular freedoms (0°, 1.5°, 3° and 6°), allowing each cyclist to maintain the best pedaling alignment.
PW8, a Brand
The two letters PW refer to the major gain provided by the concept, namely power (= POWER). The number 8 indicates the distance in mm spindle/sole (stack height). The shape of the "8" also abstractly suggests the potentially infinite power generated by PW8.
Ekoï is the first brand to have developed a sole specifically designed for PW8.
The "+" Performance
The "+" Comfort
Approved by Cycling Legends
Recognized for their expertise, great champions have personally invested in the development of the concept: Philippe Gilbert, Nicolas Roche, Claudio Chiappucci, Michele Bartoli... All are unanimous about the power and comfort gains generated by the perfect pedal/shoe compatibility.
Tested Over 2 Years
Designed to satisfy all riders, the PW8 concept has been field-tested by avid cyclists, sportives, ultra-distance riders, and professionals. All our testers are unanimous that this concept significantly improves pedaling comfort by reducing muscle fatigue.

Can PW8 be used for mountain biking?
- The PW8 system is designed for road cycling and triathlon. Nicolas Roche uses the PW8 for gravel riding, but we do not recommend it.
Is the model UCI approved?
- Yes, since February 9, 2025. The PW8s are present in UCI races with some of the riders from the Nice Métropole Côte d'Azur team.
What about adjustments for cleat positioning?
- There is a tutorial on this page, in video format.
Is a model with an integrated power meter being considered?
- Implementing a power meter would eliminate the advantage of proximity to the axle, and thus the PW8 concept. Shimano and SRAM offer cranksets with integrated power meters.
In the event of a crash, does the satisfaction or refund policy still apply?
- In the event of a crash, the warranty is not applicable. The product itself must not be damaged.
Are you planning to make other compatible shoes?
- The C12 shoe is the model used by our professional riders (Valentin Madouas, Richard Carapaz, Carlos Rodriguez...). We are working on a future model that is more accessible, without the leather upper, with a Carbon composite sole, and without Michelin® cleats.
Are there any shoes with triathlon elastic loops in this new range?
- Not currently. But 2 professional triathletes are already using it, including Rudy Van Berg, who finished 3rd at the Ironman World Championship 2024.
Will other brands be able or willing to offer models?
- 3 renowned brands are interested in the concept and wish to develop their own shoe, compatible with the PW8 pedal.

Been waiting a year for these to be launched. I almost considered flying to France to get them if the initial launch was limited to Europe, but I was able to order and save myself a trip. PW8 is an impressive design with a high quality Ekoi Pro Level shoe to match. Clipping in has never been easier and the large surface area of the pedal distributes your effort more evenly. Pedaling is much smoother and comfortable. I have tossed my old shoes with KEO cleats as I will exclusively use the PW* system. Thank you Ekoi!

I like how the shoes look and how easy they are to walk in. They seem to be of quality construction and transfer power well. They are not quite as comfortable as my Giro lace up shoes. I'm hoping that as time goes by they break in a little bit more and become more comfortable. It may just be that I get along with lace up shoes better than Boa ones
