Congratulations Vincenzo!
During the second stage of the Tour de Suisse, Vincenzo Albanese, rider of the EF Education-EasyPost team, claimed victory in a particularly demanding uphill finish, expertly managing his sprint on the slopes of Schwarzsee. Albanese seized the opportunity in the final kilometer to play his personal card and secure his first WorldTour victory at 28 years old.
Albanese, well positioned in the slipstream of Lewis Askey, launched his sprint 200 meters from the line and no one could match him.
The Italian rider was wearing the Ekoï Racing C12 Pro Team shoes, designed to offer maximum power transfer and optimal precision during the effort.
STATEMENT: "It's my first victory in the WorldTour, and in this fantastic race in Switzerland, I am very, very happy. I thank my entire team, it was a fantastic job in the last kilometer.
(...) I felt good from the start, and my role today was to lead out [Madis] Mihkels, but in the last kilometer, [Quinn] Simmons and others attacked and I followed them. Then I saw the last 200 meters and went full gas to the line."

This victory comes just a few weeks after the outstanding performance of Richard Carapaz, also equipped with Ekoï, who won a stage and finished third in the general classification at the Giro. It is further proof of the trust that the top riders in the peloton have in Ekoï's gear.
