The new flagship of the Racing winter range, the Ekoï Black Ice jacket is designed for riders who take to the trails in extreme cold when the mercury drops to -10°C/14F°. Designed to satisfy even the most demanding competitors, it offers an optimal combination of thermoregulation, lightness and comfort.
A double-sided design for exceptional thermoregulation
The jacket's woven, water-repellent DryTech outer face forms an extremely effective windproof barrier and offers good protection against humidity. Thermo-welded seams complete the anti-cold-air arsenal without compromise. The inner face of merino wool fleece provides thermal protection coupled with breathability. Capable of absorbing up to 33% of its weight in humidity, merino provides natural insulation with exceptional anti-bacterial properties. Thanks to the combination of these two fabrics, the Ekoï Black Ice jacket ensures a unique constant thermal well-being, whether it's -10°C/14F° or +10°C/50F°, and offers an exceptional place of use.
Great Lightness and Proven Robustness
35% lighter than a standard thermal jacket, the Black Ice is racing gear par excellence. Its lightweight added value is a major asset for competitors seeking the best weight/performance ratio. Particular attention has also been paid to the lightness/strength ratio. The fabric of the high-density woven outer face was subjected to conventional Martindale strength tests without being damaged. It retained its original appearance and withstood the most severe conditions.
Multi-directional elasticity = freedom of movement and muscle support
With its race-fit cut, the jacket can be worn close to the body. Thanks to the bi-elastic nature of its fabric, muscle and joint movements are accompanied by the jacket's natural deformation. This multidimensional stretch property contributes to the incomparable sensation of freedom while ensuring optimal muscle support.
The drying of this woven structure is also particularly fast. A strong point that makes this jacket an ideal piece of equipment for one training session after another!
