These are sold as "anti-abrasive" tights. I bought them to reduce the change of road rash if I fell off my bike as I am currently on blood thinners, this would result in extra bleeding in the event of a fall. Thankfully I haven't tested them to date! The anti-abrasive surface texture differs from the usual bib tights, these have a "crocodile skin" type look and texture to the fabric. They definitely feel and look a bit different. Not a bad different but definitely different!
They are very comfortable to wear. The shammy is comfortable, I've used it on a few 80Km spins and it felt very good. The ankles have zips, my ankles are reasonably big and I found that the material close to the ankle is sufficiently elasticated for me. Overall the material in the tights doesn't restrict movement in any way. I did find the front is higher than other bib tights which I have worn..
On the Ekoi web site they are rated down to 0ºC or 32ºF. I worn them down to about 6ºC but don't think I would be comfortable using them in cooler conditions.

I am 5' 11" tall and about 170 lbs. Although comfortable in the riding position, I found the fit short (size L). The shoulder tabs take a lot of stretching to get on and the legs are a bit short. The Fit is good except for the ankles which are too loose. (A zipper is hardly needed). They would be even looser it they didn't ride a little high. As for for temperature, it was a chilly ride at a humid 40+ degrees F. with no wind. The padded insert was comfortable and it moves well when riding with no binding. Luckily the anti-abrasion quality was not tested. I will use these for rides between 50 F & 65 F. Freezing weather wouldn't work for me.
