Oliver Aviles is a Spanish mountain biker. In his early days, he raced in cross-country before specializing mainly in Marathon mountain biking when he returned to racing in 2017.
Oliver Aviles' career path
In 2005, Spanish mountain biker Oliver Aviles won the gold medal in the mountain bike team relay event at the world championships and finished fourth in the mountain bike team relay event at the European championships.
After stopping cycling for several years, in 2017 he signed with the 41 Team for two seasons. Within it, he participates in several mountain bike competitions.
In 2019, he signs in the cycling team AndBank - La Purito Andorra with his childhood friend Joachim "Purito" Rodriguez, former Spanish road cycling champion and multiple stage winner in the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Tour of Spain.
The team's ambition is to compete in both international cycling touring events and stage mountain bike events as well as World Cup cross-country stages.
In 2020, he joined Orbea Factory Team as a brand ambassador alongside Joachim Rodriguez, among others. He finished eleventh in the Mediterranean Epic, a mountain bike marathon stage race held in Spain.
In 2021, the Spanish mountain biker will complete the KMC Orbea team. In addition to the Team's common calendar in cross-country XCO, he will be free to take part in different categories of mountain bike competitions: stage races, marathon races, etc. to allow the team to be even more visible in the different types of existing mountain bike events.
