Rudy Von Berg is an American professional triathlete born in 1993 in Columbus, USA. Who is Rudy Von Berg?
For Rudy, whose real name is Rodolphe, triathlon is a family history! His father, Rodolphe Sr, is none other than one of the pioneering figures in Belgian triathlon and, even today, one of the best in his age category.
The sport naturally flows through the veins of the young American who grew up in the south of France. While accompanying his father on the mythical course of Kona in 1998, the little boy of 5 years is imprinted with fascination. No surprise, then, that Rudy Von Berg began practicing the discipline in chains as early as his tenth birthday.
He later left France at the age of 19 and pursued studies in business marketing.
Professional career in triathlon
With his degree in hand, Rudy decided to fully commit to triathlon by turning pro in 2017. He writes the first chapter of his professional career with striking results on the Ironman 70.3, for the time being his favorite distance, in Buenos Aires (2nd) and Texas (3rd).
In 2018, the rocket Rudy Von Berg, coached by Luc Van Lierde, continues his conquest by reaching the first step of prestigious podiums including the European Ironman 70.3 Championships! The following year, Rodolphe Von Berg repeated this feat.
He also took an honorable 3rd place at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Nice. A bronze medal brilliantly won just behind the Norwegian champion Gustav Iden and the double Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee.
In 2020, Rudy comes out victorious in the Ironman 70.3 in Les Sables-d'Olonne. At the same time, he signs with the club Les Sables Vendées Triathlon.

Ironman 70.3 Buenos Aires (2018, 2019);
Ironman 70.3 Nice (2018);

Ironman 70.3 Sables-d'Olonne (2020).
And of course, Rudy climbs on the third step of the podium at the 2019 Ironman 70.3 World Championships.
