EKOI Racing GARA MIPS Chameleon Helmet
The ultralight Ekoï Gara helmet was designed with 5 objectives: protection, comfort, weight, ventilation, design.
Protection remains the first priority of a helmet, and the Ekoï Gara model must protect effectively in case of impact. We have reinforced the helmet against lateral impacts (the most dangerous), optimized the model with a shape adapted for better rock protection, and added the MIPS AIR® system.
Comfort is also crucial because our pro teams wear the helmet almost every day, whether in races or training. The 3 sizes of the model allow for a close fit to the head.
Lightweight is essential for both the 293 pro Ekoï athletes who wear it and our customers. A good helmet should be left unnoticed.
The 20 vents of this helmet allow airflow even in the hottest temperatures.
It was designed in Italy in consultation with some riders from our pro teams and our Ekoï designers.
It has been adopted by the pro teams BURGOS BH / ST MICHEL MAVIC AUBER93 / NICE METROPOLE COTE D'AZUR / CIC U NANTES ATLANTIQUE, giving us the certainty of offering you one of the best helmets in the world.
Equipped with the MIPS AIR® system
The MIPS AIR® system is designed to reduce head rotation movement during certain angular impacts.
MIPS AIR® has been specifically developed and designed to be the lightest possible system to reduce rotational energies transferred to the head during specific angular impacts.
MIPS AIR® replaces the traditional foams of the Gara and allows a relative movement of 10 to 15 mm between the helmet and the cyclist's head.
Optimal ventilation
The front vents optimize the influx of fresh air while the rear vents allow heat and humidity to escape.
Micrometric adjustment
The occipital retention is also adjustable from bottom to top on the occiput to optimize helmet retention.

I haven’t worn the helmet on the road as im still recovering from the accidental that necessitated the purchase. However, I’ve tried it on and it is light and its well. Although i can tell that I will need to cut the straps as they are quite long.

Exceptionally well made, retention device is very comfortable and easy to use. Chin strap easy to adjust with a solid magnetic clasp.
The chameleon colour is amazing in the light.
This is my third Ekoi helmet and the quality and fit has only improved. Would definitely recommend -

Trying to find a style of helmet to fit my head properly and in the colour I wanted has been a nightmare. However, finally I found one. The Gara helmet is perfect. It fits well even when my hair is in a pony tail. The style is slimline so doesn't give me that "mushroom" head look and is really comfortable. The chin straps are not annoying when wearing either.
Very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend. -

I have been a kask lover for years and have bought a helmet regularly for the past 20 years. I bought this as I need a new helmet before heading to France for a 3 day bike packing trip.
I found the helmet wasn't there. It is extremely light, the map system works really well.and I love the magnetic clasp. I won't be going back infact I'll be be buying another.
