EKOÏ a fait appel au laboratoire indépendant HumanFab pour démontrer, grâce à la mise en place d’un protocole précis, la plus-value performance de ses maillots Graphène. Durant plusieurs mois, les scientifiques du Centre d’expertise du sport et de l’innovation d’Aix-en-Provence ont mené une étude auprès d’un panel de cyclistes expérimentés et professionnels (Maxime Bouet, Arkéa-Samsic) au terme de laquelle il a été démontré que :
- L'utilisation du maillot GRAPHÈNE génère une réduction de la température à la surface du textile de -2,6°C.
- Sur la base d'un ressenti sensoriel et en comparaison d'un maillot classique, le maillot graphène offre une répartition supérieure de la chaleur de 32%.
Une meilleure dissipation de la chaleur génère un meilleur confort thermique, une économie d’énergie et donc un gain de performance.
The EKOÏ GRAPHENE DESIGN jersey inaugurates a new generation of clothing intended for cyclists in search of ever more efficient, more technical and "intelligent" fabrics...
By introducing the graphene material, recognized for its particularly high thermal conductivity, EKOÏ has developed a range of jerseys capable of dissipating body heat over a large surface of the fabric. This “moves” via the horizontal graphene threads arranged on the front and back of the jersey, from the hottest to the coldest points.
This results in a lower body temperature on the bike and an increased feeling of keeping cool. This thermoregulation property increases endurance and therefore to ride in (very) hot conditions, longer and more efficiently.
Intended for regular practitioners, this jersey is made with soft, silky and tight-fitting fabrics to avoid wrinkles and any wind catching. Sufficiently stretchy, they guarantee perfect freedom of movement. The microperforated sides promote elasticity and ventilation, contributing to the comfort of the jersey.
Ultralight, graphene fiber is also extremely tear-resistant*.
On the look side, the geometric print of the GRAPHENE DESIGN range is the visual expression of the physical graphene structure, namely a layer of single carbon atoms forming a hexagonal mesh. The geometric DNA of the material as a pattern, is the aesthetic bias of our graphic designers.
